Overview

The OME 6110 provides low cost, multi-service aggregation and transport of client services over SONET/SDH networks. As an extension of the OME 6500, it affords the value of network convergence to small and medium businesses. Its compact size, cost effective attributes, and ability to reliably deliver simultaneous data and voice services to customer premises make the OME 6110 an ideal solution for business access applications.

The OME 6110 is a single-rack unit OC-3/STM-1 device with 16 E1/DS1 service ports integrated in the base and one slot reserved for additional services. This service slot can be used to provide a range of complementary services such as additional E1/DS1s or E3/DS3s, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, or OC-3/STM-1o services.

• Built-in DS1/E1 support with optional plug-in of 10/100 Mbps Ethernet, DS3/E3, OC-3/STM-1o, or additional E1s/DS1s
• Aggregates VC12/VT1.5, STS/VC-3, and VC-4 mapped services to an OC-3 or STM-1 line interface
• SFP optics (SR, IR, LR, LR2, CWDM, and bi-directional (SFW))
• GFP/VCAT/LCAS Ethernet transport, optional Layer 2 Ethernet grooming
• Single or protected network interfaces: Both 1+1 and UPSR/SNCP network protection protocols are supported
• OSI and IP DCC support, as well as DCC tunneling over Path layer bytes
• Pluggable AC or DC power unit
